Reason for tolerance: During the rolling process, the roll is heated that might slightly deformed, which resulting in a deviation in the thickness of the stainless steel plate. Generally, the middle is thick and the two sides are thin.



Stainless steel thickness tolerance: the actual thickness of the stainless steel plate rolled by the steel mill cannot get the theoretical thickness. For example, if the theoretical thickness is 5mm, and the actual thickness is 4.7mm after finished, so the tolerance is 0.3mm. Now in the market, most times are talked about negative tolerances.

How to Distinguish 201 and 304 Stainless Steel Plate
