Polishing Methods of Stainless Steel Plate

There are three polishing methods for stainless steel plates: mechanical polishing, chemical polishing and electrochemical polishing. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages.

1. Mechanical polishing

Its advantages are good leveling and high brightness after processed, and its disadvantages are high labor intensity, serious pollution, and complex parts cannot be processed. It is suit for processing simple parts in small quantity.

2. Chemical polishing

Its advantages are low investment on equipment, high production and efficiency. The disadvantage is that the brightness is poor, ventilation equipment is required, and heating is difficult. It is used for processing complicated part in small quantity.

3. Electrochemical polishing

Its advantages are that the mirror gloss can be maintained for a long time with low cost. Its disadvantage is environmental pollution and large one-time investment in processing equipment. It is suit for mass production. It is mainly used in high-end products and export products.
